Reclaimed by HOOM - giving wood a second life

Do you have a table with history? Countertop to use? Old boards that mean something to you? In the Reclaimed by HOOM project, we create furniture from wood that already exists. We preserve its character, add new form and function.
Have a table with a story, an old top you’d like to reuse, or boards that mean something to you?
Within the Reclaimed by HOOM, we create new furniture from wood that already exists. We preserve its character and give it a new form and function.

Create a table from a material that means something to you.

Reclaimed by HOOM is a way of thinking where we don’t start from scratch.
Instead of choosing wood from a warehouse, we work with what you already have - often something with a story, a feeling, a memory.
It might be the top of an old family table, an oak beam from your childhood home, or a piece you want to preserve and give new life to.

Our role is to give it new meaning.
To design a piece that’s durable, functional - and deeply personal.

Respect for the material, the craft and the stories objects carry.

Solid wood never loses its value - it only grows richer with time.
Together, we can extend its life by creating something new without sourcing new material. It’s a conscious choice - and a deeply personal one.

Got wood? Show it to us.
If you have a material you’d like to bring back to life, just send us a message. We’ll take a look at its condition, talk through the possibilities, and design a new piece together.
You don’t need a finished idea - only the intention to give this material a second life. We’ll take care of the rest.

This is not an economic choice. It's a personal choice.

Working with reclaimed wood can be more demanding than using something new - but the outcome is different. More intentional. More yours. And just as durable. It’s not a substitute - it’s added value.

Not everything new has to be new. Sometimes all it takes is seeing what you already have in a different way.
